Pho 777

If you're ever strolling down Argyle Street in Chicago and craving something warm, savory, and bursting with Vietnamese flavor, Pho 777 is a local gem you shouldn’t miss. Located at 1104 W Argyle St, this casual spot is perfect whether you're meeting up with friends or bringing the whole family along.

What makes Pho 777 stand out? First off, their Bun Bo Hue is a total must-try — rich, spicy, and just the right amount of bold. If you're more into seafood, their Bun Oc Rice Noodle Soup with freshwater snails is packed with deep, traditional flavors that you don’t find everywhere. Pair that with some crispy egg rolls or light, refreshing spring rolls, and you're in for a real treat.

The vibe here is chill — not too loud, super relaxed, and welcoming to groups and kids. Bonus: they’ve got outdoor seating, which makes it a great pick during those warmer Chicago days.

Another dish that gets a lot of love is their papaya salad — tangy, crunchy, and full of bright herbs. It's the kind of side dish that wakes up your palate and keeps you coming back for more. And honestly, the portions? Generous. You definitely get your money’s worth.

Pho 777 isn’t trying to be flashy. It’s the kind of place that focuses on flavor, comfort, and authenticity. Whether you're a pho fanatic or just getting into Vietnamese cuisine, there's something here that hits the spot.

Fresh spring rolls here are delicious, with crisp vegetables and tender shrimp. The service is quick and the restaurant is clean.

Very good. Will be coming back for another round of pho. They even have a stage for live music.

As a Vietnamese-American foodie, Pho 777 is my top pick if you're looking for various, high-quality Vietnamese dishes at a reasonable price point in Chicago. The pho embodies all the characteristics that a proper bowl should have: a well-balanced, complex depths of flavors, delivered in a bowl the size of your head. This pho will revive you after long nights of shenanigans. The broth alone will comfort you almost as well as your best friend. The idea of a single bowl will make you question reversing your newfound pescatarianism (speaking from a personal place lol). I'm only half kidding - it's really good. For the other dishes, com tam bi suon cha (broken rice with bone-in pork, pictured) is also a solid choice, with generous portions of shredded pork, egg cake, veggies, and scallion oil. Mi xao gion (fried egg noodles smothered in meat, veggies and gravy) is also done well. Overall, if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, look no further than Pho 777!

Ate dinner hear tonight. First, the place is pretty open and on the medium to big size for a typical Vietnamese place in the area. It was very clean. The owner greeted us and she was phenomenal and friendly. We orders the spring rolls. Excellent and fresh. We also had the papaya Ga salad with chicken and it was the best we have ever had. Booming with freshness and perfect balance. Also had the crab rangoons which were very good. For main courses we both got Pho - once chicken and on beef. Both excellent flavors. And then we riders to Bam Mi sandwiches to go. I mean who doesn't want to eat a cold Bon Mi on a Sunday late morning. They looked amazing. All in all- excellent service and staff. Great food. Clean atmosphere. We're going back!

AMAZING bun Bo hue, the lemongrass flavor is very strong and they put plenty of meat in the broth. The viet coffee is strong and delicious as well. Will be coming back!
